Lauren Riley
Solicitor
I have known from an early age that I wanted to be a solicitor, because I wanted to help people that were going through one of the most challenging and difficult times in their life. Following on from my own parents’ divorce in my teens, I understand the impact parental separation and conflict can have upon the children of the family. My aim is to ensure that the children’s welfare is always at the forefront of any decision-making.
I joined Evolve Family Law in January 2024 following a period of maternity leave. I have previously worked at law firms based in both Staffordshire and Cheshire and have experience dealing with a wide and varied case load of private law children matters.
- Children issues arising from relationship breakdown
- Child contact and living arrangements
- Complex and intractable cases
- Domestic Abuse
- UK and international relocation
- Assisting grandparents in contact disputes
- International child abduction
Experience and qualifications
- Qualified as a solicitor in September 2017.
- Experienced private law children solicitor with matters involving complex issues including domestic violence and abuse, substance misuse and where there is Local Authority involvement with the family.
- Experience with cases involving the instruction of experts
- Urgent and Emergency proceedings including non-molestation orders, occupation orders, prohibited steps and specific issue cases
- I have been a member of Resolution since January 2020
- Previous experience dealing with public law children matters.
What I do when I'm not being a lawyer
I am a busy mum of two young boys, so my free time is usually filled with playdates and sports clubs. I love nothing more than spending time with my family, whether that be out and about exploring new places or chilling on the sofa together watching a film.
